CK&B Co. Ltd., owner of the product authentication solution HiddenTag, announced that it has launched an innovative distribution management service that can block illegal distribution at the root.

Hidden Tag is a product authentication and anti-counterfeit solution consisting of a label with a unique encrypted dataset that cannot be forged or altered and a dedicated smartphone application. Each HiddenTag label contains individual product information registered in the HiddenTag server, so when consumers scan the HiddenTag label with the dedicated app, the specific information is verified, and consumers can immediately check whether the product is genuine or counterfeit.

The newly launched HiddenTag distribution management service combines the product authentication function with the logistics distribution management one, building up a system for managing distribution data of individual products and tracking fakes.

In particular, by collecting consumer scan information derived from the use of the HiddenTag app, which has been downloaded by more than 6.8 million consumers in about 200 countries around the world, into the distribution management system, the region, time, and contents of the illegally distributed product are immediately checked as soon as illegal distribution occurs. The main merit is preventing losses related to unauthorized distribution.

The HiddenTag logistics distribution management service sets the countries that allow sales in the system when registering a product and immediately displays a notification of detection of illegal distribution when a consumer scans the label from an unregistered country in which sales are not allowed. Based on such scan information, it is possible to track the distribution history of a single item and, at the same time, detect the stage and vendor where the distribution problem occurred.

This HiddenTag distribution management solution allows both output/input barcode systems, by integrating a barcode in the HiddenTag label, and, for companies that do not have an existing barcode output/input system, it is possible to simply use the HiddenTag label and smartphone, no need to develop a separate hardware system. Therefore, it is possible to introduce HiddenTag logistics distribution management without worrying about excessive costs and the integration of complex management systems.
