Authenticity verification service “HiddenTag” prevents illegal copying of cosmetic brand products
CK&B Co., Ltd. (CEO Bae Ki-Hyeok) announced that its authenticity verification service ‘Hidden Tag’ is used to prevent illegal copying of products of domestic and foreign cosmetic brands.
As the demand for Korean cosmetics increases in Korea and abroad, the damage caused by illegal counterfeit is also increasing. The safety of ingredients and the hygiene during the manufacturing process of counterfeit products cannot be guaranteed, so consumers may suffer from damage and it is not easy for them to receive compensation.
Many cosmetic brands use HiddenTag to prevent damage caused by counterfeit. Brands that distribute cosmetics in Korea, as well as companies that are considering export, use HiddenTag, because such companies are targeted by counterfeiters.
Hidden Tag, smart authentication service consists of labels attached to the products and the app that can scan the labels. In addition to the simple label sticker type, it is possible to create customized labels in accordance with the needs of the company.
HiddenTag official said, "Each HiddenTag label is assigned with the unique ID, so consumers can scan HiddenTag labels attached to clothes and easily check whether the product is genuine or not. Companies can use it for marketing, for discovering the distribution channels and pioneering new distribution networks by monitoring the scan history of consumers all around the world.”
Meanwhile, CK&B has supplied HiddenTag service to 850 domestic and foreign companies, and has been re-selected as an export voucher activation agency by 2021. In addition, it received the Minister of Science, Technology and Information and Communication Commendation letter at the ‘2021 Korea ICT Innovation Awards’ hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and 7 organizations including the Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency and the Korea Electronics Information and Communication Industry Promotion Association.
