Fashion brands solve counterfeit problem with the HiddenTag authenticity verification solution

Although the K-fashion industry has been experiencing a revival, companies are suffering as there are more and more cases of copying the design or making and distributing counterfeit products of fashion brands. Consuming counterfeit goods is a serious criminal act that adversely affects not only consumers but also companies by deteriorating the brand image.

However, it is not easy to find or file a lawsuit, and take action against counterfeit distributors. As fashion brands companies are usually operated with a small number of people, they often lack the physical capacity to proceed with legal proceedings.

That’s why more and more brands are introducing HiddenTag, a smart product authenticity verification solution. HiddenTag is authenticity verification service provided in the form of the stickers with the special data. When a consumer scans the HiddenTag label attached to a product with a smartphone, it informs whether it is genuine or counterfeit, so it is effective in preventing damage from the counterfeit products.

Another advantage is that labels can be manufactured in various materials and shapes, such as care labels and hangtags, in addition to the general hologram stickers. The application supports a variety of languages, including Korean, Japanese, Chinese, English, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Russian, so it is good for designer brands that are going to export their products. Currently, the HiddenTag solution is being used by more than 1,000 companies around the world and has global users in 204 countries.

Meanwhile, CK&B Co., Ltd., the developer of hidden tag, was awarded  at the `2021 Korea ICT Innovation Awards` hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by seven organizations including the National IT Industry Promotion Agency and the Korea Electronics Information and Communication Industry Promotion Association and received a commendation from the Minister of Information and Communication.
