`Hidden Tag` applied to genuine mask for genuine and quarantine products
It is not easy to go back to the days when there were no masks, such as spreading of corona mutant virus `Omicron`, upgraded distance, and strengthened quarantine pass guidelines. Unlike the period when the price of masks surged during the initial discovery of the virus, masks of various brands were produced, and fake quarantine products appeared amidst the chaos.
Illegal reproductions such as masks, hand sanitizers, disinfection and sterilization products are rapidly circulating in the market, raising concerns harming consumers. In response, CK&B CEO Bae Bae-hyeok said, “The ‘Hidden Tag’, a security label for authenticity authentication, will help prevent the spread of counterfeit goods necessary for quarantine.”
He added, “When consumers purchase quarantine products, there is a possibility that they can be used without checking the genuine and counterfeit products, which differ in the degree of virus protection.
‘Hidden Tag’ is a service that allows you to check the authenticity of a product by scanning an authentication label made for the item with a mobile phone application. In addition, consumers can check through which channel the goods are distributed, so the consumers can be relief using the goods.
In addition to quarantine products, more than 900 different industries including food, cosmetics, and clothing, are using "hidden tags," and the great advantage is that they can produce their own IDs with various label materials that customers want.
Hidden tag can be printed directly on mask wrappers such as holograms, voids, aurora, distribution papers. Hidden tags are attempting to authenticate and differentiate themselves with various standards, materials and methods of label technologies using watermark technologies such as stickers, hangtags, and guarantees.
In recognition of the unique and highly utilized hidden tag`s technology, it was awarded the Minister of Science and ICT`s commendation at the 2021 Korea ICT Innovation Awards hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, and was re-elected as the government`s export voucher agency for the seventh consecutive year until 2023.
