HiddenTag: International Expansion
Great success at CITE Japan 2017
HiddenTag, the anti-counterfeit solution of CK&B Co. ltd (CEO Ki-Hyeok Bae), is on the fast track to international growth. CK&B Co. ltd alongside with its current partners has participated at the 8th Cosmetic Ingredients & Technology Exhibition in Yokohama, Japan and received great attention both locally and from other international participants.
Counterfeiting is a serious problem, and
the threats of it are not limited only to Korean products. This issue is faced
worldwide, especially by American, European, Japanese, and other international
companies that expand to the Chinese market. The participants of CITE Japan
2017 also shared CK&B’s concern over counterfeiting.
Over 300 exhibitors participated in CITE
Japan 2017, including OEM and ODM manufacturers of cosmetic raw materials,
subsidiary materials, and packaging. CK&B Co, ltd was the only participant
providing anti-counterfeit solution, which intrigued other international
participants and set a path of new synergies between different businesses.
Japanese market is relatively safe and
forgery risks are not high at stock. This is the reason that counterfeit
prevention is not a big issue in Japan. Nevertheless, in comparison with the
well-known QR Code, HiddenTag attracted attention due to its high security and
customized design.
Japan is one of the closest trade partners
of China. When it comes to the cosmetics market, Japan shares the 2nd
and 3rd places with Korea in exports to China. And even though
locally counterfeiting is not a big issue in Japan, the risks and challenges
are high when exporting. Exporters, like in Korea, have had a lot of concerns
about the decline in brand credibility and the drop in sales due to illegal
copying. Of course, with QR Code there is no solution to this problem.
As the aftermath of CITE Japan 2017,
CK&B Co. ltd will cooperate and thus safeguard the Japanese companies exporting
to Mainland China and will continue its global partnership expansion with
Australian, American, and European companies, aiming to launch into the Chinese
market.
